Hello and goodbye?

Hello friends, it’s been a while. Specifically, as my favorite musical artist Taylor Swift says in her song “Glitch”… but it’s been [844] days of our love blackout.

Yeah, you read that right – I haven’t posted on this website in 844 days. Yikes! It’s not for lack of writing – I literally have been working quite hard in those 844 days and just don’t typically find the time or make the time to write for myself. It’s one of the definite downsides to a career as a writer.

But something changed today, June 8, 2025. I decided to finally do something I had been putting off for a while. If you guessed “write for herself again,” you’d be a winner!

I’ve decided to start a Substack, which technically means I am relocating my “website” over there. I’m definitely not closing the door to writing my Millennial in Wonderland aka Cape May Rachel blog/website. Substack just felt like the right move since I follow so many newsletters over there.

I wanted a place where I could share links to my current newspaper writing and coming back and logging into this website did not feel as enticing as a fresh start. Something we all need every once in a while.

While I don’t think I’m quite closing the door here, I’m cracking open a window and hope you’ll follow and join me over on my Substack. I’ve linked it three times in this post for you to get the point!
